What is coaching?

At My Performance Coach, our aim is to empower and enable each and every client to develop a compelling vision, inspiring goals and to achieve the success they wish to create in their lives.  Our qualified coaches do this through a structured and professional process combining profiling tools, supportive environment, a variety of different coaching methodologies, and sophisticated one-on-one training to expand and inspire growth and learning for our clients.

My Performance Coach focuses on holistic coaching goals that cover all aspects of life, such as, managerial/executive, career, people management, business management, business development, financial, health, business, relationships and family.

Coaching is a collaborative, solution-focused, results-orientated and systematic process, in which the coach facilitates the enhancement of work performance, self-directed learning and personal and professional development and growth of the client.

My Performance Coach uses a number of tried and tested coaching models including Myers Briggs and DISC Profiling tools, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Quantum Psychology and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

Clients should understand that successful coaching requires an active collaborative approach between the client and coach.  The coach plays the role of a facilitator of change and the client is responsible for enacting change.  Throughout the coaching relationship the coach will engage in direct, personal and often challenging or provocative conversations.

Coaching is not therapy and thus does not aim to treat psychological problems.  Coaching does not focus on the past, but rather on your current reality and moving you forward to create your most desired future.

We have a number of different levels of coaching depending on your individual needs.  My Performance Coach will work one-on-one with you, either face-to-face in Sydney CBD or over Skype/phone.  Both methodologies are highly effective.

Coaching results in change.  Sometimes these changes are small and can have just as much impact as large changes.  What is important is that change is required as part of the coaching process.  After all, you are expecting to go beyond where you are today, to achieve different results and you can’t do that without different perceptions, knowledge, skills, behaviours and/or actions!
